Many of our customers and their families have been with us for over 20 years, since the Agency was established in 1985 and competition is great to book in high season.
Holiday letting has proved a great success for our owners, but we fully appreciate that many use the properties themselves both in and out of season. We have no strictures on the number of weeks made available to us to let. Most of our properties are first and foremost homes for the enjoyment of owners and their families. However, if the owners priority is to let the property then we will do this to the fullest extent that the Salcombe season allows.
In addition, because we restrict our area, we have intimate knowledge of your properties and are able to act as a link between owners and their tenants; advising each on subjects which the 'usual' booking agents cannot achieve. We are 'hands on' the properties, personally arrange cleaners on behalf of owners and check that the job has been done properly. We will arrange for remedial action to be taken should problems arise and liaise with tradesmen as required(see About Us).

Salcombe Holiday Homes and Dartmouth Holiday Homes are pleased to be appointed to let a number of very high quality, luxury, properties. We appreciate that some tenants will only stay in such properties and we additionally market these separately on the dedicated website. The properties have additional facilities, such as catering and hairdressing, are made available to tenants.
These luxury properties are large and small and are not necessarily the most expensive.

Salcombe Holiday Homes have become the Salcombe specialists in letting houses which sleep 10 or more persons. Such homes are, of course, ideal for multi-family holidays, but also for special occasions such as birthdays and reunions.
We are very careful to ensure that such large bookings are only made by suitable tenants. Again, these properties are additionally marketed separately showing full floor plans, so that potential tenants can allocate rooms and plan functions.

How much income might be expected?
Obviously this is dependent upon many factors and although we might be able to take a guess, based upon information provided by you, a visit to the property at an early stage is essential. We are happy to do this, free of charge and without obligation.
Situation, parking, views and outside area have a major bearing upon the amount of rent charged and number of weeks let. Acceptance of pets will enable a small increase in rent but might result in a major increase in number of weeks.Provision of linen is not essential unless the property is highly priced as there are good hire facilities available in Salcombe.
Owners also need to consider whether they will allow short breaks or reductions for a limited number of occupants. Gas, oil and electricity are invariably included in rents.
