Our Standards

We are very confident that the properties we offer are of a good standard and better. Some are inspected by national agencies, strictly to guidelines which we often do not believe are appropriate to the needs of our customers, many of whom have been with us since our beginnings in 1985. All of the properties are individually owned and extensively used by the owners themselves. They are decorated and equipped to meet the practical requirements of owners and their tenants and are all, as we say above, of good, sometimes exceptional, standard.

Our own staff inspect every property between each changeover and carry out extensive annual inspections with written reports. Our Star standards reflect the views of our experienced staff and those of tenants. These are personal views that might differ from those of others but are the result of team discussion.

One of the difficulties of being subjective in setting standards in such stunning areas is avoiding bias through views and locations. The website wordings show the views and describe the location of each property, which should be reflective of that particular property. Please ask if you have any doubts.

We must stress that if properties have a low number of Stars they are not of poor quality. We would not let properties that are not of an acceptable standard and know that some tenants are only seeking a functional property which meets their needs at reasonable price.

The Star Symbols indicate:

* 2 Stars. The property is functional, clean but without frills and is a base for the area. * 3 Stars. A good quality property with most required amenities and comforts. * 3 ½ Stars. A comfortable property with a good standard of furnishings, decoration and equipment. * 4 Stars. Very good standard, of pleasing appearance, very comfortable with added extras. * 4 ½ Stars. An excellent property of very high standard which would meet the requirements of tenants seeking something special. * 5 Stars. An outstanding property with special features beyond those that might ordinarily be expected.
