A great apartment in a lovely setting adjacent to North Sands. It was beautifully clean and well equipped. We think it may have recently been redecorated which added to the freshness of it. There were a couple of down sides one of which we suspected before we arrived. One reviewer posted that it was a minutes walk from the centre of Salcombe - it is NOT! Allow 20 minutes minimum if you are on a schedule but the walk along Cliff Road is lovely. The second problem related, as previously mentioned, to the heating which did not work. At first we had no hot water either but a plumber came out and fixed that but he couldn't sort the heating. The owner likely has to replace the boiler. However, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the apartment once the heating is repaired.

Fantastic week at St Elmo Lodge. Quiet and relaxing location. Enjoyed looking at the bay from the large sunny balcony. Would stay again if we returned to Salcomb at a future time.

It is a lovely apartment with a good view from the balcony but it was quite a way from the town centre to walk in. Also we couldn't get freeview on the TV or the central heating to work. It is worth knowing that there is no phone signal but the internet is excellent.

Very comfortable with wonderful views of the bay from the balcony. A little bit of savvy is needed for the excellent big smart TV which is linked to a digi box but that's probably modern tech in the hands of an oldie!!

We hadn't expected the property to be quite as spacious is it was from the pictures, all the kitchen equipment we needed was provided, and good quality stuff to. The furniture was all in good condition, the beds were comfortable. We hadn't realised that there was a dishwasher in the kitchen from the write up so that was a nice bonus, would have taken dishwasher tablets if we had realised, although we were provided with a few which was a nice touch. The showers are lovely, plenty of hot water for us all to bath/ shower each day courtesy of the combi boiler. The terrace is really nice and big, and a stunning view of north sands beach from it too. We had a great stay and would be happy to go back and stay there again. The location is great, only a few minutes walk from North Sands beach, there are lots of gorgeous coastal walks nearby and it doesn't take too long to walk into Salcombe town centre - we did these with our children (aged 5&7).
