Outstanding location some parts of the property are looking tired particularly the carpets and sofas We also felt the bed linen and towels needed to be a better quality Overall though we all enjoyed our stay and would return to this property

Great location and good value. Enjoyed the balcony views. Parking is a little tricky, especially if there is a car parked in the left hand bay. Would recommend cleaning the carpets upstairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Upper Sheldon House & had a wonderful holiday again in Salcombe & have already reserved the same property for next year.

The apartment had a well equipped kitchen for cooking (but could have done with a couple of metal oven trays), it even had a useful clothes drying airer and laundry bin, very comfortable and large sofas and large TV for watching a film, lovely balcony and view, lots of bedroom clothes storage, black-out roller blinds at the bedroom windows plus curtains or secondary blinds and good powerful showers. On the downside the upstairs could have done with blinds at the skylights and curtains at the French doors to keep the sun out as the room got unbearably hot and we had to leave doors and windows open 24/7. The quality of the beds was disappointing. The mattresses were not comfortable and the two double beds were only 4,6" (in our family, we slept in the twin room with the children in the doubles). Also, the door into the en-suite shower room was awkward so that two people could not use the bathroom at the same time. There was no where to hang jackets and beach bags (some pegs in the hall would be good to avoid dumping everything on the floor). The rear steps were a good place to put wet suits and towels to dry and to store beach kit (we stored 2 paddle boards on the rear steps). The rear parking space is useful but access into the courtyard is very very tight for a 4x4 or big long car.
